Description

This unit plan contains standards-aligned and engaging student-centered lessons relating to the World War II. Students will examine the world events that led to World War II along with a U.S centered less that incorporates the growing U.S. involvement in the war. Lessons include a cooperative stations activity that takes students through the experience of rationing, along with the lives of many types of groups on the homefront. Students will participate in an authentic discussion about the holocaust, they will analyze the difference between propaganda and actual photos of internment. The assessment for this unit is written to assess both students understanding of the content of the era and to develop their historical thinking skills.
