Description
In this Cold War inquiry, students will address the question – “Was U.S. policy effective at containing communism from 1946 through 1962?” students will work through a series of supporting questions, formative performance tasks, and featured documents in order to construct an argument supported by evidence from a variety of sources. Formative lessons address containment policy through the presidencies of Truman, Eisenhower, and Kennedy.
Finally, a key element of this inquiry is the students’ collection of evidence to support their final one pager discussing the containment of communism. You can view more in the preview here – The Cold War – An Inquiry Based Unit
