Description

This lesson includes a reading about the Boston Tea Party with text-dependent questions. Students can complete this reading cooperatively or independently. The exit ticket helps them to practice the skill of reliability. I use this reading in combination with the online game mission-us.org.

The lesson is linked to NYS Social Studies Standards, but you could easily cut and paste in your own standards for your state.

NYS Standard – 7.3b.2 – Students will examine actions taken by the British, including the Proclamation of 1763, the Quartering Act, the Stamp Act, the Tea Act, and the Coercive Acts, and colonial responses to those actions.

Included in this Resource:

  • Boston Tea Party Reading with Text Dependent Questions – PDF, PowerPoint, and link to Google Slides Version
  • Link to Google Slides Digital Version of the lesson
