NOTE – These Illustrated Notes are contained in my Jamestown Investigation. However, I’m aware that some of you might prefer the illustrated notes separately.

With these illustrated notes, students review the story of Jamestown. These notes are set up to involve critical thinking within the text. While some questions involve comprehension, others require the students to think more critically. Students can complete these with a partner for differentiation. You can view more in the preview here.

This resource includes both classroom and digital version of the assignment. Teachers can assign these notes directly in Google Classroom if needed.

The lesson is linked to NYS Social Studies Standards, but you could easily cut and paste in your own standards for your state.

NYS Framework Standards:

7.2c.1 – Students will investigate the reasons for colonization and the role of geography in the development of each colonial region.

This zip file includes a PDF version, a PowerPoint version, and a link to a Google Slides version. Both the PowerPoint and the Google Slides versions are fully EDITABLE. It also includes a PowerPoint slideshow to review the information discussed in the illustrated notes.
