Description
This bundle combines three of my “journeys” into one purchase. These journeys take students through the experience of the time periods, so that they really understand what the time period was like for the people who lived through it! Each of the journey is described in detail below:
13 Colonies Journey – This is a Google Slides interactive experience that guides students on a journey through the 13 colonies. Students visit the New England, Middle and Southern colonies, and participate in “choose your fate” decisions that make their experience unique!
American Revolution Journey – This is a Google Slides interactive experience that guides students through the major battles of the Revolutionary War. Students join the war as a Continental Army soldier, and then they follow that soldier’s journey to each of the major battles.
Civil War Journey – This is a Google Slides interactive experience that guides students through the major battles of the Civil War. Students write a third person narrative about a Civil War soldier from the perspective of a junior historian at the National Parks Service.
All of the information in the journeys is based on real research. Each event is based on the actual journals and historical research, and every event has been carefully edited for clarity, comprehension, and conciseness. Teachers can use these interactive experiences as a frameworks for an entire unit.
Both CLASSROOM and DIGITAL versions are included in each resource. Teachers can utilize these resources in all types of teaching situations.
Included in this resource:
- A PowerPoint Version of the handouts (editable)
- A PDF Version of the handouts (not editable)
- A Google Slides Version of the handouts (you can make a copy of you want to make your own edits)
- A link to the slides for the simulation in Google Slides (this is done on purpose so that I can edit the file instantly if any changes are needed – It can also be downloaded as a PowerPoint if needed)
